ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1. Extended Help ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
I trust this utility is straight forward enough in its use, that you will
forgive the inadequate nature of this documentation, which is still under
construction. QwikSwitch allows you to assign the programs you run to a hot
key combination. It works between any OS/2 full screen session or PM app. It
has been tested under OS/2 1.3 and 2.0 (6.149). To switch from a windowed
session, you must have the system menu (top left corner) active in order for
QwikSwitch to respond (I hope to correct this in a later version). QwikSwitch
will appeal to those who need to switch consistently between several running
programs quickly and easily (hot key). It also enables you to run your PM or
windowed apps maximized so that they overlay one another and easily switch
between them. The best way to use this utility is to have it start up
automatically, along with the other programs you run. QwikSwitch simulates the
Task List by displaying all running processes. You assign a running program to
an Alt+n combination by selecting it with the mouse, then pressing the desired
button. You can save your selections with the File Save or Exit Exit Save menu
options. I would recommend assigning QwikSwitch itself to a button, so that
you can conveniently call it up anytime. WARNING: If you End Task a group box
or the DeskTop manager, you will terminate the Desktop manager. I'm still
trying to figure this one out. If it happens, you will have to re-boot to get
it back. I am contemplating a future registered version with the ability to
choose your own key combinations. Suggestions welcome.
